Dear PhD’s, Junior Lecturers and Junior Researchers, 

We hope you all have enjoyed your summer holiday and are ready to start the new academic year! Via this monthly newsletter we will keep you updated on news that we think you will like and upcoming events of our council. 

The Young Geo Council will organize all kinds of events for áll the young geoscientists of our faculty. We have posted a sneak peek into our upcoming events on our website. 

In addition to the events listed on the sneak peek, we have two very nice events coming up: 

1. Welcome Back BBQ 

To kick off the start of the new academic year, we would like to invite you for a Welcome Back BBQ. We will provide food, (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) drinks and fun for €3! 

We hope you will join us for this event on Friday, September 10th, after work. In case the weather is very bad (in other words, typically Dutch), we will provide an inside alternative 🙂

2. Give Your Opinion – PhD’s 

In a bid to improve our workplace(s), it’s important to hear the voices of the PhDs, as well as hearing your explanation of some results of the PhD survey and think together of practical solutions. We hope you will join us on Tuesday the 21st of September 12:30-14:00 in the Bestuursgebouw – Van Lier en Egginkzaal during your (extended ?) lunch break. We will prove a FREE lunch.
