PhD Day 2019
On Tuesday May 7th 2019 the Graduate School of Geosciences and the Geosciences PhD Council will organize the 8th annual GEO-PhD day.
The program will start off at 13:00 with a keynote lecture from Roos Woltering at the Ruppertbuilding (hall Rood), who will provide a talk about dealing with perfectionism, which is likely a characteristic most PhD’s can relate to. This will be followed by two hours of parallel sessions of workshops. The event will close with drinks and a delicious vegetarian buffet at the Basket. This year we have organized five interesting workshops for you:
- Project and time management – Ruppert 111
- The Art of Presenting – Ruppert 138
- Career orientation through alumni – Ruppert 134
- Research support and grant opportunities for PhDs – Ruppert 140
- Effective communication – Ruppert 139
Please use the form below to register for the workshop you would like to attend, and whether you will attend the drinks and/or dinner. The agenda for the event and more detailed descriptions of the workshops can be found in the attachments to this email.
Note that places in each workshop are limited, so sign up quick! The last day to sign up is the 30th of April, 2019.
