Transferable skills workshop

Tuesday, October 19th from 12:30 to 14:30 we are organising a workshop about transferable skills. For everyone who decides to join us, we will provide a FREE lunch.We all possess a range of skills that we can see as our ‘transferable skills’; skills that can be used in many different work situations, including outside of university. These are skills that can make you attractive in the job market. In this workshop you will gain insight into the transferable skills you have through practical exercises. Also, you learn to present them in a clear way, for example by using good examples.

Pizza Lunches

12.00 on the first Monday of the month and you hear the public warning sirens being tested, think PIZZA!

The Young Geo Council is happy to (re)start a tradition this year: The Monthly Pizza Lunch! From now on we will be organizing a pizza lunch every first Monday of the month from 12.30 to 13.30. The lunch is meant as an informal way to meet colleagues and talk about your research, teaching, the faculty, issues at work or just fun stuff to get to know one another. The Council will order a few pizza’s and you are most welcome to come over, grab a slice and get together with your colleagues, no need to sign up!
